BLESSINGS!!!

We tried so hard to find the perfect family to give a Christmas to.  We were running out of time and got so frustrated. So the week of Christmas I had a parent walk in and the light in my head clicked on..... A dad who worked on the base and that is exactly the kind of family we wanted to help, a military family, maybe young, maybe struggling with life.  The same day he connected our family with someone to help us get everything figured out. This family had just asked for help the previous week.  Needless to say we made it happen above and beyond what we had planned, and I must say there is no better feeling to share the Christmas Spirit than with someone in such need.  The story will bring tears to your eyes as it did for all of us on Christmas Eve Day when we arrived to their home.  Even Santa had some tears.  But WOW my heart was so full this day of Christmas Eve.  Mom doesn't have much longer to live and they have 2 small children.  How can you not cry!!
We have more great pics but need to leave the family anonymous.

OUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY WHO SHARES SO MUCH LOVE!
My son next to me and his girlfriend.
My daughter with her husband.
My husband and his 4 daughters to his side of the picture.

After our Santa visit to a family in need we rushed home to get our home ready for a guest list of 40.
I just have to say I feel like this has been one of the best Christmases I have had.  Our home was full of love, laughter, friends, family, food, a table full of desserts, kids playing downstairs with plenty of room to run and a room full of presents for everyone to have a special gift in celebration of why we celebrate the Christmas season.

Dorian my son....the reason why I started my childcare 22 years ago.

My daughter and her husband who flew in from the Navy base in VA for the holidays.

Playing the saran wrap ball game with whoever can fit in the circle.

Baby Shower

I know this is not work related but its WORK lol.  My daughter flew in from VA for Christmas so we had her baby shower the weekend before Christmas.  Say WHAT??  I don't know I managed to get everything done but I did.  I ask myself how do I function sometimes with my plate so full....I guess I really enjoy doing the things I do.
I pretty much made hand made everything including desserts for the shower except the cakes and the food. I even ordered the fabric and sewed the table cover to a plain white table cloth.
The snow storm came through during the day of the shower but our guest still reached 60 to 100 people.  The turnout was amazing for a cold snowy day.

Our Home Filled With Christmas Love:)

Just spreading the Christmas Spirit to families from our home.

Santa is so cool....he flashes lights all around him...his toys and presents light up.

MORE PRESENTS

After Santa came the kids had another present to open. They draw names and we set a $10 limit.
