This was probably the best part about our camping trip, a blow up boat. Big Lots $10, except I needed a few more. So this week were going on a camping trip and the kids prepared a list of items we needed. We filled a back pack up with bug spray, first aid kit, flashlights, bug catcher, toothbrush, bubbles, swim suits sleeping bag, tackle box, and a fishing pole.
Our circle time this week was used with camping chairs. We do have a fire pit in the back but the mother nature has not allowed us to sit around the campfire. Maybe by the end of the week.
We all need fishing poles for our trip. Since I couldn't find fish we used a squid from the dollar tree. After the fact I thought of fake worms in the fishing dept but the squids are so colorful.
Mason just finished his fishing pole and laid it with the others to dry. The kids could barely wait for the poles.
Fishing, fishing, fishing, for a few hours atleast. How fun!! Fishing out of the boat and all around the room.
Couldn't go camping without a tent. Didn't have a little tent so we made a big one, big enough for the kids and myself to read camping stories in. After this the kids wanted nothing to do with me. They took all their camping stuff and piled themselves into the tent.
Also picked the tablecloth and plates up from the dollar tree. We made sure to have a few lunches this week that was camping food.
Here is our smores snack in a bag to have around the campfire area. Hopefully we can still have the real smores outside.
Camping flashlights decorated with stars and circles
The kids are making a dash to the bathroom to see the flashlights work in the dark. How cool they thought these flashlights are. The excitement was overwhelming.
When you have something so cool you make and another kid accidently dents the cup then we have a sad lil Allen. I fixed the cup right away, but he really was devasted. Like I said the kids really loved having a flashlight of their own.
